Read Across America Day

Back in early March we celebrated Read Across America Day at EES! During the day we were able to take turns reading on a comfy couch near the school office. As classroom teachers signed up for different times throughout the day we were able to have at least one student on the couch every minute of the school day--READING! It was exciting!

We also had a guest EHS Forensic Team member read to us that day.

Prior to Read Across America Day each classroom chose a Tomie dePaola book for a door decorating contest. Our classroom chose The Art Lesson. Each class toured the school and then students voted individually for their favorite door. Teachers were also able to vote. Our class won Most Teacher Votes!
