Flat Stanley Project

Last week we read a book called Flat Stanley. In this book a boy is flattened by a bulletin board and is sent on numerous adventures.

After reading the book, each student dressed their Flat Student to look like them.

Then it was time to learn how to address an envelope and what postage is.

Once the envelopes were addressed it was time to pack up our Flat Students and send them on their way!

Here we are headed to the post office to mail them!

During the week we were also able to tour the post office.

We learned how mail is transferred from one place to another.

A back-side look at the post office boxes in the Ellsworth post office.

When we returned to school we watched a video about post offices and learned even more about mail.

We're excited to see the adventures of our flat students.
Stay tuned because in the coming weeks those adventures will be shared on our blog!
