During the week of Christmas, we were engaged in a variety of fun classroom activities.
First, we had to make and wrap a Christmas gift for our parents.
We made a clip snowman equipped with a magnet for the refrigerator. That way, our parents can post our work, important notes and projects for everyone to see at home!
Wrapping our gift with love.
Tying the bow very carefully.
Writing on the label using our nicest, neatest handwriting.
This last week we also got to decorate our own personal Christmas trees using sugar cones, icing, food coloring, Twizzlers, dots, red hots and sprinkles.
Frosting the cone...
The completed tree!
A two thumbs up YuMmY Christmas tree treat!
On Tuesday afternoon, all the second graders rotated between the three classrooms doing a variety of Christmas-like activities.
There were delicious treats in Miss Donley's classroom. We enjoyed cookies and hot cocoa with all the fixings while watching a movie.
In Mrs. Robson's classroom, we all joined together for some fun Reindeer games!
Working as a team to get all the winter gear back to the other side!
Round and round Mrs. Robson spins you...
Then, it was time to assemble the Reindeer face as quickly as possible...
We constructed Christmas hand wreaths in Mrs. Kasper's classroom.
Here, the hands are being cut out...
Time to add thumb-print berries...
Adding the glitter bow...
At last, the project was completed and ready to take home.
Oh--HOLLY JOLLY, looked who stopped by our classroom on Wednesday!
Of course, we had to get a picture with him!
We're all on the NICE list...
even Mrs. Kasper and Mrs. Nelson!
We hope you all had a very de*LIGHT*ful holiday!
