Flat Stanley Project

Yesterday we finished reading yhe book flat Stanley as a class. This is a story about a boy, who after being flattened by a bulletin board is shipped away in an envelope and goes on various other adventures.

We each made flat versions of ourselves to mail off to friends and/or relatives for adventures of their own.

Once our flat students were dressed, it was time to address the envelope. We learned about all the needed information on envelopes.

Finally, last Friday we walked our flat students to the post office to send them on their way!

While at the post office we were able to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the place to learn how letters and packages arrive at their destination.

One of our moms is a mail carrier and left a special note while she was out on her route.

Thanks to the post office staff for the wonderful tour! We enjoyed it!
