Magnetic Play Projects

We read the procedural text Presenting Amazing Magnets book in class. Then we each experienced the procedure of making our very own magnetic plays. First, we had to write the script. We used our tropical disaster stories we wrote previously in the school year as an outline. Then it was time to construct the backdrops. Here we are painting the cereal boxes for our sets!

We learned it takes LOTS of paint to cover an entire cereal box...

Next, we needed to create our characters and attach them to the paper clip stands. Once all of this was assembled, it was time to practice our lines using great fluency and expression!

We invited in other classes to see our plays...

We even got to present our magnetic plays to our parents!
