Water Cycle!

Over the past couple weeks we've been learning all about the water cycle and this week we were able to do some weather-related science experiments!

This is the frost experiment. We're measuring ice to crush.

Crushing the ice with a hammer-like tool.

Measuring out the rock salt.

Stirring it up!

It worked! Frost formed on the cans!

Evaporation experiment...

Recording the different weights. We didn't see a difference in 2 days time. We would have moved our experiment outside in the sun, but it was raining. Bummer!

Precipitation experiment--making rain!

By the end of the day we had a lot of water in the jar!

It's raining!

Tornado making!

Making debris...

Adding dish soap and food coloring...

Finally we filled the bottle with water...

and we each had a tornado in a bottle!
