October Fire Station Visit

I know, I know it's been awhile since I (Mrs. Kasper) have got around to blogging, and I'm very sorry. It's catch up time ... so enjoy! :)

During fire prevention week, our class walked down to the local fire station for a visit. While we were there, we listened to the firemen talk to us about ways to prevent fires and what to do in case a fire occurs...

Putting on all the gear...

The smoke tunnel...

Miss Donley at the top!

Mrs. Kasper made it half way (it was really windy that day!)

Mrs. P. busted out the back window with the push of a button.
We learned firemen have some amazing tools!

Demonstrating how to use the Jaws-of-Life

The Jaws-Of-Life are very heavy!

Touring the fire station building. Some of those tires were as tall as we were!

Thank you Ellsworth Firefighters for all you do for us!
