First Bank Visit

On March 4th our class had the opportunity to walk to one of the neighborhood banks (First Bank) to 'check' out how things work there.

The first thing we learned about was the drive thru tube. We got to see how it worked.

We each got to send and receive the tube behind the counter.
Some of us even got to see customers at the window.

While we were behind the counter, we also got to experiment with the coin machine.

Next, we learned about the safe.

Then we got to listen to the loan officer talk about how loans work. We learned what the word interest meant.

After that, we got to walk in the vault.

In there, we learned about safety deposit boxes and the importance of never losing your key!

Then, we took a closer look at how large the vault door really is.

At the end of our tour, we got to enjoy a tasty cookie. :)

On our way out, this friend of ours saw a familiar looking customer, so we had to get a picture!

We totally enjoyed learning about how this local bank works.

A big thank you goes to Tonya Chegwidden for the guided tour!
